It’s ok, i have purchase wisbar advance and it’s ok…

still cant get it to load the skin on the main body of the PPC screen… I get the top and bottom bars and the phone skin works but when I try to load the osx_wad file from desktop themes into the wisbar custom themes settings, first it takes a long time to copy and then all it does is freeze up my home screen to the point where I have either had to delete it from the desktop folder or delete and reload wisbar alltogether… just FYI I am copying the OSX_WAD folder into themes/desktop like you said to do and it isnt working for me…

@shark: i don’t think there is no another way to use it.. you can install the cab files easely but you can’t use it in VGA screen

@kwan: hi there.. did you installed wisbar advance and wisbar advance desktop? if not, you can’t find the theme folder in main memory.. first install these programs then follow the instructions

@shark: i don’t recommend convert this theme to VGA. resize is the worst thing on the images.. my advice is, re-create theme from first step again into VGA..

@joe: you can customize the theme as your comfortable.. just click anywhere and create some docks, shortcuts, buttons…. and you can re-assign icons for your programs.. tap and hold the icons and select properties then select a shortcut for your folder struction..

1. On the first thumbnail there is a “Slide to Unlock” screen. How do you get that working. I tried the usual ‘devide lock’ but thats still the default one.
2. Also, how do you get the digital clock on the top of the screen?

About the docks…i dont get transparent docks like u have in the screenshots… i get fully opaque docks. Like the slider dock, or the bottom dock, or the top dock. None of them is transparent, they are all fully opaque.
i am using the latest wad and wa.

.. and the slider, flash player is not completed yet.. the slider (which is included in the theme) is just “fake” (virtual page).. when you tap the slider, it goes to desktop page..

@Bkbone: if you’ve installed latest version of WA and WAD, you can get work the theme (except dialpad.. dialpad just for wm2005).. latest update have a extra fixes and keyboard program for the iphone keyboard

@all: I had some problem even thoug I uses everything within the zip file from ozan. What worked was: – hard reset the device, then install everthing like description (readme). DonÄt know why – but it helps!

Can you make a VGA version of slider?

Best idea for the swf to use custom Background.png as a background and custom sliderdock and sliderbutton from the same directory. Ini file must provide reasonable coordinates and transparency for sliderdock. That is a first step, later needed to get rid of flash.

After I installed the slider, the desktop icons are now all missing except for ‘iPhone’ and iMail’

Great work Ozan! And especially the support for the Meizu slider you’ve been giving is incredible. What I’d really like is just the slider component. Is it possible to create a flash app that only occupies the bottom of the screen? Like that I can customize and lock the rest of the screen with WAD. I’m a designer too, and I’m just beginning to look into the whole Mobile Flash business. Exciting stuff. Did you do it with the Flash 6 CDK?

yeh cool theme do u know where i can get the dialer for pocket pc 2003SE and the slider doesnt work properly when i slide it opens my file explorer.

new problem -> the today-bar has a black background. while i write a sms, the transcripter-bar has a black background to. so far so good. bur the transcripter-menu-icons are black too, so i gant see them anymore :/

You are right nb86 the icons of transcriber become black. But still this theme is cool. And does anyone atleast know where I can get a 2003SE diler skin.

@nb86: you can change the taskbar image..just look into wisbar advance theme folder with some image viewer, and edit in image editor (photoshop, paint shop pro..etc)

I must agree with the above post from Sara, you have made many sliders for many people but why not just make one really good slider! the majority of people want 12 clock, the smooth slider scrolling, everything to be in english, the highling text and for it to be full screen. Im sure if you did this you would have a lot less request. Just like the above video post.

Its up to you though, you are only one man, and EVERYONE appriciates what you have done for the skinning community.

Okay if we have to pay for this, could you fix a couple things with the demo, First off the removing the leading O in front of the 12 time format. Additionlly, The slide button looks pixelated, i’ve seen other sliders such as the meziu slider that you made that do not have a pixelated slide to unlock button. Thanks

yes that perfect! just one more thing, is it possible to render it at medium quality because the button fits better without pixelation. When i right click on it then change it from high quality to medium it looks actually nicer. Can you make this quality setting default for the slider. Its a 5 dollar donation for the slider right?

I got the theme and the software installed, but the background image is tiles in 4 partitions of the screen, and all the buttons are placed one top of an other to top left part of the screen. Shouldn’t the background cover the whole screen?

I’ve tried out the slider test version, and everything works just fine exept the time display. It doesn’t freeze but it just displays something completely different than the actual time, example:

It now is 10.00 Am and the clock displays -2.00 PM

And I also think it would look nicer if you could drop the time a few pixels (becouse the top of the time is touching the top of the graphic it is in and this takes the 3d effect out of it).

for the rest everything is perfect !

Than I also have a question, is it also posible to have the dailpad skin with this background:

He is a guy who is creating skins and flash-animations based on FLASH and WISBAR, that mean that it doesent has to do anything with apple&co. His skin is even not looking exactly like an appleskin, and he doe not “sell” the skin (which contains screenshots of some icons)! The flash animation is an creation -by himself based on the look and feel how perhaps iphone will be..! So please let him do his work and shre his creation like he wants to. You can just download the skin – thats free! An I am sure that you wll even get updates of that skin. Just don’t use the slider – if you don’t want to “buy”it….!

@ozan : I’m very sorry for trying to distribute the slider thing for free. I assume that I understand reason for the $5 donation. Although it is like a simple action script to make the slider, it must takes time to do that. Honestly to say that we should give some small amount of donation to appreciate your effort to do this although it is a simple thing. I have done it for my self too… (sorry again to say that, it was a ripped from your own slider). From there i got an idea to make it for a windows desktop. I’ve done the slider things and also a part of iphone menu icon desktop with flash animation.

Ozan – are you, or anybody else having problems with the slider conflicting with appointment reminders or phone calls? It appears that reminders don’t come through the device with the lock on…

This is the same dialer with a black background and the transparent keys. Weighs in at 2 Megs so it might be a bit much for those that like to run their machines lean and fast. I have used it without any slowdown on a PPC6700 and an IP830W

Two questions:
1. Because it sometimes happens that wisbar bera crashes, I want to backup the theme with my settings – how can I do that?

2. scrolling through the sms or email with the finger is difficult. it it possible to make the scroll-arrows(up/down) wider or to create two icons on the screen wchich ar big enough to tap on it for scrolling?

how do u make the animation when u put ur phone in/out of standby mode?

The animation is achieved by using a program called ” PocketSuspendFX ” you have to map the executable file to a button, for example button 6 on my device controls my wifi connection, by default. But by selecting buttons from my personal settings I can change what that button executes. This button on my device is on the left side, and when pressed gives this swirl effect via the pocketsuspendfx program. Pressed once will give the animation as it turns off my device. Pressing the button again will give the animation effect while at the same time turning my device back on.

Is the slider a different program/download? I never saw it and assumed it automatically installed it. Maybe I never got it?

Got it! The initial shortcut was pointing to a non-existent file. Re-directed it and it works great now! AWESOME job!

Ozan, I tried all your compiled software. I lost my dock on the screen(not the 5 icons) but the one with several or more icons. HOw do you get them back. I tried to load theme but no luck. Btw the mortplayer has to be the lates version to get the iphone theme to work. Thanks

@ Ozan – also forgot to say, is there a way to make the start button (cingular and network) into a small circle, it looks a bit strange having two network receptions on the screen and the lettering overlaps the proper reception (HTC-Artemis)

the theme is pretty good on my HTC P3600 (number of SMS or phone calls works, etc…) but I’m not able to change the program target for the iPhone : each time I tap to put the shortcut I have access to images of the dock or the object type in order to change iPhone by something else.
Does somebody have a solution for me as I would like this shorcut goes to the phone screen.

I’m not able to start the slider from iWeb as you mentionned in (read me) (iweb icon runs a slider thing). It says (sorry for the translation) “impossible to open “iphone-slider.exe”. It is not signed with a certificate or a composant is not ready. You have to reinstall the file.

I’m running a HTC P3600 WM5.

The read-me first is not linked to the real folders on the phone.
For example : in readme the folder is iphone-wa, on the phone it is iphone.

I was not able to make the theme work under lanscape. I choose in settings/personnal/theme manger landscape et I choose iPhone but it does not work. There is not all the icone.
Impossible to obtain “nter settings / personal / theme manager. press desktop theme. select the iphone wad”
There is no more the “cingular” on top left of the screen : is it normal ?

Do you have any solution ?

I solved the “Invalid layout file” in the Weather app. I reinstalled MarsWare and Unzipped all files out of the package.cab. Now it is running.

I had it working on my HTC mogul. It was a little buggy espcially with the bluetooth and the time report in 24h. So, I upgraded to Wisbar advanced 3 and the latest Wisbar desktop. It no longer works.

First of all I would like to say thank you for making this program available to non IPhone users such as myself. I found your website totally by accident so I went ahead and purchased the SQVGA and then when I couldn’t get it to work correctly I realize that I must have had the wrong files, so I had to purchase the QVGA and everything seems to working just fine now.
Anyways my dilemma is I’ve just purchased my Mogul (still very green) and downloaded all the QVGA files you provided, however according to your “Installation Guide” I’m missing a few files…* slider with 12 hour support (locks entire device) and * Torch (flashlight program)… unless they are within another file I’m unable to locate them… so could you be so kind let me know where would I find it on my device and how do I make it work. Also according to your “You Tube” video I should be able to do a lot more once I’ve downloaded the files, such as the ability to scroll by using your fingers, move around websites and programming and adding buttons to the main screen. First off, I would like to extend my appreciation to all you have done thus far with this software. I love it! However, I have purchased the QVGA version for my Sprint Touch phone, and everything seems to be going okay. BUT, I cannot get the iPhone, iMail, iWeb, iPod, and iSettings buttons to work AT ALL. When I press the iPhone icon button to pull up my contacts to add them, nothing happens. I can’t get my phone to follow the path for executables in order to use them, and I can’t get the settings icon to do anything as well. Further instructions somewhere maybe??? Please, anyone?

whats the set up for useing Wisbar Advance 3 ? Since useing Wisbar 2 is only a trial version good for 7 days and you can not get a code anymore. Everytime a soft reset is done it makes the trial end makeing the themes not fulling functioning!!
